While in Paris i visited the the Pompido Centre an art gallery..

.. The words of George Pompido the french prime minister of the time

Art allows the ability to discuss, contest and protest
during this term at college i have been exploring the emotions of loss and grief, particularly the loss of a child through death and abduction .the feeling of needing some thing to hold onto for comfort .Here i explored the clutching onto a  pillow something i wittnessed my own mother doing after the loss of my brother
then i found this line by Jan Glidwell .

.......You can clutch the past so tightly to your chest that it leaves your arms too full to embrace the present.

painted in sept 2011 my version of jesus !

August 2011

a couple of weeks before the riots took place in the Uk i painted this , its called Anarchy in the Uk .

In response to a trip with Highlands college to Paris. After seeing so many homeless people on the streets of Paris i felt compelled to create a piece of sculpture. I want to create something that represented how homeless people must feel, invisible was the word that came to mind .I also wrote a poem called the human in me.......

The world my Tv
This bench my settee
Invisible to you , but you not to me
I watch you walk by , click clack of high heels, ringing tones of mobile phones, shopping bags full of tasty meals.
I sit in silence in hunger and fear
As the dark falls the shoppers disappear
to a place of comfort , they can call home , i hide in a corner all alone.
you safe in your world mine battered and torn.

I think of you but you not of me , am i invisible or do you not see.

the Human in Me,
